The Issue:
Super 8 Dawsonville, a franchise-operated hotel located in Dawsonville, GA, had several issues related to their network and security infrastructure. Before working with Brandarrow, their network and security infrastructure was outdated and unreliable. They faced issues with slow connectivity, poor quality cameras, and storage limitations, which were all impacting their ability to provide a smooth experience for their guests.
These issues can be particularly problematic for a business like a hotel, where guests expect fast and reliable Wi-Fi, high-quality security cameras, and a secure environment. Slow connectivity can lead to frustration for guests, while poor quality cameras and inadequate storage can compromise the safety and security of guests and staff. Additionally, outdated infrastructure can make it difficult for hotel staff to manage day-to-day operations and provide quality service to guests. Overall, the outdated network and security infrastructure at Super 8 Dawsonville was negatively impacting the guest experience and the hotel’s overall operations.
The Solution:
Brandarrow was tasked with developing and implementing a new network and security infrastructure for Super 8 Dawsonville. The solution involved conceptualizing and designing a robust UniFi network and security infrastructure composed of over $18,000 worth of Ubiquiti UniFi Network and UniFi Protect Security devices. This infrastructure was able to provide a more responsive and stable network and security experience for both administrative and customer fronts. Additionally, Brandarrow planned and implemented UniFi’s commercial routing solution, UDM Pro, with an addition of 2 Gigabit Switch 24 PoE and 1 Gigabit Switch Pro 24.
Brandarrow also upgraded Super 8 Dawsonville’s existing cameras and NVR, replacing the outdated cameras with 21 UniFi G4 Bullet/Dome 1080p POE cameras and 4K Gigabit UniFi NVR. Furthermore, they planned, set up, and implemented a Gigabit WiFi 6 infrastructure with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios throughout the 48,000 sq. foot property, replacing outdated access points with 5 U6 Long-Range Access Points and 3 U6 Lite Access Points. Lastly, Brandarrow analyzed security NVR usage and storage and upgraded 1TB capacity to 24TB using Seagate Surveillance HDDs.
Overall, the new network and security infrastructure implemented by Brandarrow provided Super 8 Dawsonville with a much-needed upgrade, resulting in improved connectivity, higher quality cameras, and increased storage capabilities, all of which contributed to a better experience for their guests.
